In Memoriam

Steven Robert Malcolm
December 7, 1946 - November 27, 2016

Steven Robert Malcolm was born on December 7th, 1946, to Robert and June Malcolm. He was the first of three sons and a daughter. Steve was born and raised in The Dalles and grew up on the family farm on Cherry Heights Road. Steve graduated from The Dalles high school in 1964 and soon after joined the United States Navy. Steve achieved the rank of petty officer third class as a radarman.

Steve served in Vietnam and was proud of his service to his country. Steve married Delcie Mitchell in August of 1965 and raised a daughter Yvonne and a son Martin. After the death of his father Bob, Steve moved his family back to take over the family farm on Cherry Heights. For many years Steve and Delcie raised a family and ran the peach and cherry orchard well known for its sweet dry land fruit. When the couple devorced Steve started a new chapter in his life with his second wife Angelika Nueser in 1994. Together Steve and Angie enjoyed loving each other, spending time with family and friends, and caring for many dogs they adopted at their home on five mile.

Steve lost the love of his life Angie in 2011 and struggled to carry on until his passing Sunday morning November 27th. Steve had a quick wit, countless stories, and good advice for anyone who would listen. Steve was preceded in death by his wife Angie, brother Randy Malcolm and parents Bob Malcolm and June Brown Roberts.

He is survived by his daughter Yvonne, son Martin, wife Lisa brother Monty Malcolm, wife Carol, sister Debbie Harth, husband Gary grandchildren Christopher Finck, wife Shanna, Kathryn Granados, husband Angel, Kelcie Malcolm, four great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. At the request of Steven, he wished that there would be no service and that his ashes are scattered at a later time.
